[Brisbane Airport]… Being governed by federal planning legislation, the team’s attention was focussed on masterplaning this regionally significant site to include a variety of uses from retail, office and industrial through to more specialist uses of health, education, entertainment and aviation services. The property team was responsible for all non-aviation land including the 450 business and 24,000 employees located on 2,700 hectare site.
Scott held the positions of Investment General Manager and Fund Manager at QIC in his 20-year career with QIC. While at QIC, he was responsible for planning, resourcing and delivery of a number of key projects, including development of Coomera and Robina town centres on the Gold Coast, redevelopment of Grand Central and the Toowoomba CBD transformation and Claremont Quarter in Perth. Scott was also instrumental in the establishment and management of QIC’s Shopping Centre Fund.
Scott spent 5 years with Westfield as a Development Executive working in Sydney and Auckland and delivering projects that included Westfield Marion, Westfield Tea Tree Plaza, Westfield Arndale and Westfield Queensgate. Throughout this time his experience has focussed on the Fund Management, Development Management and Asset Management of large scale, community focussed assets as well as building teams of professionals tasked with project assessment and delivery.
Scott has been a Queensland Divisional Council Member of the Property Council of Australia since 2014 and was formerly a Board member of the Property Industry Foundation. He also holds non-executive director roles on a number of educational and not-for-profit organisations and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
