Bill Giouroukos – Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Bill Giouroukos is CO-CEO and Co-Founder of The Kinetik Group. Prior to establishing Kinetik, and following a 20+ year international career with the Westfield Group and Westfield Corporation, Bill consulted on an executive level to a number of property and retail organisations in Australia, the Middle East and the UK. These include Al Futtaim, Stockland, GPT and Mirvac, Blackstone, ISPT, Prudential and The Crown Group, with consultancy services and advice delivered across all retail operations including asset management, leasing, marketing, income maximisation, new projects, mixed-use and master planning.
Bill’s impressive Westfield career spanned the UK, the US and Australia with his last position as Director of Operations for the £6bn+ UK/European business where he was responsible for asset management, leasing, commercialisation, marketing and all centre operations including Europe’s largest centres, Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City. In the US, Bill was Senior Executive Vice President responsible for 63 shopping centres, the airport division and commercial portfolio.
Under Bill’s stewardship, Westfield led the industry delivering country and global firsts including new UK retailers and concepts such as Victoria’s Secret, Coach and Kidzania and achieving 100% occupancy levels. Bill redefined what is expected inside a shopping destination from introducing innovative categories such as automotive to delivering a new level of food and dining featuring independent market operators and restaurants. Bill grew a multi-million pound commercialisation business including major media revenue deals, innovative new temporary retail, as well as partnerships and events with film companies and record labels where the centres hosted global movie premieres and music events with talent such as Lady Gaga and Rhianna. Bill maximised Westfield’s Stratford City’s proximity and role as the Official Shopping Centre Partner to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games delivering significant and incremental revenue including media income, hospitality packages and temporary retail from the likes of Liberty London which opened its first pop-up department store at the centre.
Before the Westfield Group, Bill worked for Lend Lease in leasing, centre management and marketing roles. Bill holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of New South Wales. Bill was born in Sydney, Australia
